The aim of this article is to research the purges suffered by the female personal of the City Council of Bilbao under the new franquist authorities after the conquest of the city. Through a prosopographyque analysis, the different characteristiques of this staff are considered, besides the role they performed in the Republican rearguard. Other of the pourposes of this article will be identify who were the female repressed employees and retrieve their experiences to overtake the victimizing view. [Publisher]
