Abstract

The essay discusses the history of the first German female auxiliaries during World War II. The author reviews how the signal-communication women were integrated into the signal corps of the German Armed Forces. Special focus is paid to the establishment of the Army School for Signal-Communication Women on July 1, 1940, and to the educational process in the school. The working conditions for signal-communication women are also discussed.
