1418: Documenti e Immagini della Grande Guerra / Documents and Images of the Great War

During the First World War there was an extraordinary production of different documentary materials: from photographs to postcards; from trench newspapers to posters; from dossiers concerning individual fallen soldiers to propaganda leaflets; from musical scores to diaries and letters.

The website consists of a large archive of images of extraordinary historical interest that allows the knowledge and enhancement of collections owned by different institutions including archives, museums, libraries. It is thus made available on the web, in a unified form and with simple typological subdivisions, an important documentary heritage little known or completely new.
