Abstract

The Rough Riders (1927) is a silent film directed by Victor Fleming. The picture is fictional account of Theodore Roosevelt's military unit in Cuba, otherwise known as the Rough Riders. The Rough Riders were a special regiment that fought in the Spanish-American War in 1898. The film shows how a motley and diverse group of volunteers set aside their differences and form lasting friendships as they participate in the war.
