This book tells the story of Georgia Watson's years at war, which took her from 'Miss' to 'Major' in the Women's Army Corps. A teacher, Watson joined the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps at the outbreak of World War II. After training, she was assigned to the Top Secret Battery X experiment project to see if a composite crew of men and women could successfully operate an antiaircraft battery. Watson then served in the Women's Army Corps (WAC), and was Commanding Officer of the WAC Detachment, Headquarters Command, United Kingdom.
