Abstract

One of the more popular films of the Prussian Film genre, which celebrated Prussian history and military strength in the 18th and 19th centuries in the wake of Germany's devastating loss in World War I. This film celebrates King Frederick II (aka Frederick the Great) of Prussia who strengthened its military and political power in Europe through territorial acquisitions, diplomacy, and war.
