Phoenix

Phoenix explores the multiple layers of deceit during and after World War II. Nelly, a Holocaust survivor, returns to Germany with the intention of reuniting with her husband, but surgery to repair her wounds leaves her face unrecognizable. She keeps her identity a secret, as her husband wants to use her to claim his wife's inheritance. A friend warns Nelly that her husband had turned her over to the authorities.
