| Abstract | A fictionalized account of the Oradour-sur-Glane massacre in 1944, in which a German Waffen-SS company slaughtered 643 civilians, including non-combatant women and children, and destroyed the village of Oradour-sur-Glane in Nazi-occupied France. A French surgeon escapes to his chateau in the rural countryside where he finds his family slaughtered. He avenges their deaths by operating as a one-man army to kill the Germans. |
