Abstract

This documentary tries to rehabilitate the historical legacy of Rezső Kasztner, a Hungarian Jew who saved over 1500 Jews during World War II but who was later declared a Nazi collaborator and killed. Interviews with Kasztner's family member and those he saved stand against the perspectives who see him as a traitor. Interviews with his assassin Ze'ev Eckstein cast more doubt over Kasztner's murder in 1957.
