Le Réfractaire / The Undercover War

In Nazi-occupied Luxembourg during World War II, a group of men take refuge in underground mines rather than fight their allies. François, the privileged son of a collaborator, leaves university in anger over its teachings of Nazism. He joins other men living underground to avoid conscription. Once there, he experiences personal wars within himself and with other men, making his re-entry to the outside world a source of disillusionment.
