Abstract

In the early summer of 1944, a French woman and an American pilot form an unexpected relationship. On her way back to Paris, Thérèse (Simone Signoret), a mother of two whose husband is in a prison camp, meets Capt. Allan Morley (Stuart Whitman) after he parachutes from his damaged plane. Although hesitant, she agrees to help him find a way to leave Nazi-occupied France.
