Eye on the Reich: German Propaganda Photographs, 1939-1942

This collection, presented by the New York Public Library Digital Collections, offers users access to a partial set of photographs that accompanied albums created by the studio of Adolf Hitler's personal photographer and published annually between 1939 and 1942. Cataloguing events of wartime history, the photographs portray a view of Nazi Germany as its leaders wanted it to be seen, including commemorating victory. All images have been digitized and the texts have been translated into English.
