Abstract

Offering no-frills access to significant primary sources on modern history across geographic regions, the Internet Modern History Sourcebook is an established (since 1997) source for teachers and students in university-level survey courses. It is part of a larger project that includes internet history sourcebooks on other periods, and provides access to sources hosted on its own site, which are arranged in thematic and chronological fashion, but also fully searchable. The sources are a curated selection, rather than an attempt at universal coverage, and are all in English or English translation. Topics covered include periods and events ranging from the Reformation to the present day. Although containing documents of political or intellectual significance, the sourcebook also attempts to represent the diversity of other sources and viewpoints.
