Abstract | Created by the Ball State University Libraries (Muncie, IN) Archives and Special Collections department, this site offers users access to the World War I posters from the Elisabeth Ball Collection. Containing over 1,500 posters selected from the larger collection, the searchable and browseable collection contains posters from Italy, France, Belgium, England, Australia, Germany, the United States, and other countries collected by Elisabeth Ball (1897-1982), daughter of Frances and George Ball. The originals are housed in the library, and the images are available to the general public, but also of interest to students and researchers. Posters are displayed in high quality digital images allowing users to examine, zoom in, and download. |
