Ubistvo S Predumišljajem / Premeditated Murder

Two concurrent love stores set in Belgrade, one during World War II and the other during the Yugoslav Wars, reveal how the moral compromises of the past inform the present. As Jelena reconstructs her grandmother's World War II diaries documenting a love affair, she falls in love with Brogden, an injured Serbian soldier. The men carry on with war despite their hesitations and love for these women, perpetuating the cycle of political and ethno-religious repression.
