Among Boers and Basutos: The Story of Our Life on the Frontier

In this memoir, the author recalls her life with her family in Basutoland (modern-day Lesotho). She describes her initial journey with her children and brother from England to Basutoland in 1877, as well as their social life, the local customs, and her account of the First Boer War. The memoir also features excerpts from the letters of the author's husband, a resident magistrate of the area, who wrote to her to describe conditions in the infamous concentration camps.
