This epic documentary focuses on the International Military Tribunal for the Far East to invesigate and adjudicate on Japanese war crimes during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945) and World War II. Archived footage discusses key events such as the Nanjing Massacre (December 1937 – January 1938), the Bataan Death March (April 1942), and the attack on Pearl Harbor (December 7, 1941). As a result of the trial proceedings, twenty-eight Japanese military and political leaders were charged with fifty-five separate counts encompassing the waging of aggressive war, murder and conventional war crimes committed against prisoners-of-war, civilian internees, and the inhabitants of occupied territories.
