Abstract | This report is an update on the issue of Gay Lesbian Bisexual movement for freedom to serve in the US military. It describes the original Don't Ask Don't Tell legislation that was passed into law and in effect constituted a ban on gays in the military. The report includes the personal experiences of gay service members who served in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and documents evidence of continuing discrimination and harrassment in the various branches of the military. |
