Abstract | In this article, the author discusses participation of religious women in the Israeli War of Independence and the ambiguity in the religious Zionist movement's position concerning the participation of religious women in military activity. Although women fought to defend their settlements on some occasions, traditional gender roles were not changed by the war. |
