This artistic take on the Cold War sports drama from the late 1980s brings together Russian ballerino Mikhail Baryshnikov and black American dancer Gregory Hines. Both dancers defected to the others' homelands, and an emergency plane landing in Siberia brings the two together. Although Hines is charged with bringing Baryshnikov back to the USSR, he opts to leave with him for America to ensure his family's safety and future.
