Doa al karawan

This film, based on a novel by Taha Hussein, is set in the upper Egyptian countryside and follows the story of Amna as she plots her revenge on the engineer who destroyed her family's honor. Amna witnesses her sister's death and decides to seek revenge by poisoning the man who seduced her sister and caused her honor killing at the hands of their uncle. As time goes by, she finds she cannot kill him and eventually herself becomes a target for her uncle.
