This book explores the role of women in World War II and their engagement in the conflict. It looks, for the first time, chronologically at the ensemble of French people in uniform: from the colonies to the city, passing by North Africa, the annexed territories of Alsace and Moselle, the territories under mandate, the protectorates, and the French who lived abroad (in the USA and the UK).
