Abstract | Between the late 1980s and the early 1990s, Lithuania experienced the emergence of a memorial regime that honored the men who had resisted by arms to the Soviet armies during and after the Second World War. Today, the memorialization of armed resistance remains an important public practice. This article is from the point of view of the women who participated in the war, and analyzes the interactions with a memory regime based on "combat and suffering". (Author) |
