Abstract

This article looks to study the participation of Spanish women in the Resistance in France close to the Second world War from a gendered perspective, in order to put it in relation to the social history of that Resistance. In accordance with a frame of transnational analysis, this article accords a particular attention to the participation of these Spanish women in two particular structures of resistance: the armies of the free France and the networks of action, information and allied invasion which operated in the Hexagon during the conflict, analyzing in depth their schedules of life and resistance, and reflecting on the recognition of their commitment and their combat by the French authorities in the postwar period.
