Created by the Brown University Library and its Center for Digital Scholarship, the Garibaldi Panorama and the Risorgimento Resource Explorer provides a digital archive for study and teaching of the life and exploits of a key actor in the processes of Italian unification, Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807–1882). In addition to the digitized panorama viewable on the site, users can access some 4,000 archival entries, including newspaper stories, illustrations, written accounts, and other primary sources, most of which are tagged to a specific scene in the panorama. Materials are primarily in Italian, but French, English, German and other languages are represented by several hundred entries. No full-text search feature.
