Abstract | The memoir of a woman test pilot in World War II. The author belonged to a corps of women pilots on the home front who for the most part delivered planes and tested repaired ones. In her case, however, she experimentally tested the B-29 Superfortress and the Bell YP-59A jet fighter. After the war she became a journalist and sailor, sailing all the way to Turkey. |
