In this internationally acclaimed and Oscar-winning film, director Steven Spielberg documents the awakening of businessman Oskar Schindler to the Holocaust during World War II. A German and Nazi Party member, Schindler arrives in Kraków to profit from the war. At the same time, SS officer Amon Göth oversees the construction of the Płaszów concentration camp outside the city. After Schindler witnesses Göth's cleansing of the Kraków ghetto, he uses his profits to protect his Jewish workers from the Holocaust.
