Complete story of the D-Day landings at Normandy--the invasion and establishment of Allied Forces in France during Operation Overlord, beginning June 6th, 1944 and the largest seaborne invasion in history--through the eyes of its participants. It began with overnight parachute and glider landings, air attacks, naval bombardments, and an early morning amphibious landing. The film production involved several Allied and Axis military consultants, and some of the actors in the ensemble cast had seen service in Operation Overlord.
