Based on the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, South Pacific offers a sweeping international love story during World War II. Nellie Forbush, a nurse for the U.S. Navy, falls in love with Emile De Becque, an older French plantation owner. She rejects him after discovering he has mixed-race children, and Emile agrees to take on an espionage mission. Nellie reconsiders her initial reaction while worried for his safety.
