Abstract

Based on a real life events, this television miniseries recounts the political and intellectual evolution of a young French man during World War II. Daniel Cordier, an ethnocentric nationalist, becomes disillusioned by Petain's surrender to Nazi Germany. He joins the Free French movement, working with de Gaulle and Jean Moulin, and leans into ideas of French universalism.
